The Final "Nemesis" *possible spoiler

  • On the final mission when you're heading toward the Black Hand, you get ambushed by a captain. I think it's the one who's killed you and been killed by you the most but I'm not sure. I'm trying to get a certain uruk to become that nemesis or at least be one of the ones I kill and he comes back, so I let him kill me a bunch of times. But after he kills me like 10 times I tried killing him, so he'd come back with a scar or something, but he just stayed dead. I didn't behead him but he was replaced in the sauron's army screen. I'm wondering if there's a way to "choose" who your final nemesis is. Does anyone know?

    • I think the one who you have the most encounters with will be the one you fight in the end. They don't nessessarily NEED to return to the Nemesis System to be fightable.

    • I'm trying to do the same thing as you, if you check the pause screen before directly going into the Sauron's army screen without having an uruk targeted it should say who your current nemesis is, for example mine says "Zogdush Warbringer is your current nemesis". I think whoever it says your nemesis is before starting the mission is who will show up.

    • Maybe but last time my final nemesis ended up being a guy named "mozu evil-eye" and I had fought and killed him (and been killed by him) many times. But he appeared to be dead, though I'm almost certain I never beheaded him. This time I'm expecting "mozu hot-head" (coincidentally he is also mozu...) to come back at the end because I let him kill me a bunch of times, because I liked the irony of his name he had one of the fire helmets, after like 20 kills I killed him once, he came back (with no helmet which totally ruined it for me) and I killed him again by throwing him off a high ledge. So far he hasn't come back again but he still shows up on the Sauron's Army screen lying supine on the floor with his name crossed out and the message "target is dead" but I've been playing for like 20+hrs since then and he's still there, no replacement. A similar thing happened with a "muzglob the painted" and I just re-encountered him when I was fighting a war chief, he was a bodyguard. That leads me to believe that mozu is probably still alive somewhere in udun and I just haven't found him yet

    • When a nemesis returns the time it takes is very varied, for example with my nemesis Zogdush I killed him with a death from above stealth finisher where I stabbed him in the face and he showed up with a metal eye patch and a hunting party looking for me about 10 minutes later, but with another one called the Defiler I killed by firing an arrow at a bonfire which killed him and it took him until the next time I played after that to respawn with half his face burnt and even then I stumbled upon him on the map. But overall a pretty badass system and in my opinion an amazing game

    • I have a long story about this as well.

I had a very certain Uruk, his name was Hoshu Skull-Splitter. We fought, I died, I came back. I fought him again, I had to leave and retreat. Another time, I had to fight him, and then I killed him with a combat finisher, not beheading him, however. I went to the Sea of Numen, and never returned until I got bored with toying with my max level captains and warchiefs, I went back to indoctrinate them, going after a warchief. I find him, as a bodyguard, and we dueled along with the warchief and his other bodyguard. I almost kill all three of them, but they both retreat except for the warchief, who I promptly beheaded. Forward about to the end game, he's back. On the Nemesis mission. And I relished in actually killing him finally.

    • I loved that moment when your ultimate nemesis comes back in that mission, I just completed it and my nemesis Zogdush did in fact show up and since he was a warchief I was able to do that awesome decapitation finishing move. It felt good to finally kill him 'cos he was my nemesis for almost 3 quarters of the game.

    • My final nemsis was the first uruk that had killed me for the very first time. Azdush the Killer was his name :)

    • The first nemesis i scarred was actually the first nemesis i encountered: Tuka Rock Crusher, I'll never forget him as i used a combat flurry to kill him and he came back with black veins and white eyes and he killed me, so seeking revenge i faced him a couple of times and interrogated him where i finished him off yet again with my magic but then he came back again and it was a pretty big surprise for me, this time with rotted flesh and bangages over his face and completely over powered (lvl 20 immune to stealth, range and combat finishers) i had to progress a bit more in the story before i was able to kill him

    • That sounds awesome, I need to do flurry combat finishers more often cause I wanna see that!

    • The nemesis came as a shock to me when I killed an Uruk named Azdush Hot-Head whom also had an awesome hat. Anyways it took 3 tries to kill him since he gets enraged by pain. When I finished the jerkwad off I went after my next target when lo and behold Azdush comes a knockin with his same buff. He murders me then I get him back. After killing the Hammer I tavel to the next realm but guess who followed me, Azdush once again. This time I'm used to his tricks, finish the jerk off and I think "There's no way he'll come back a fourth time". I go on the smugglers boat and find out Azdush the Return is in control of the enemy army. I love this returning enemy theme but please tell me with Azdush finally be gone, I'm sick of his mannerisms.

    • Im not sure how it works but the my final nemesis was an archer named Rash the Hacker.  I only remembered who he was because he was the first uruk captian I'd encountered and he pretty much owned me.  I eventually killed him but never saw him again untill the mission where you kill the tower.

I know if you behead him (combat finisher) and his icon in sauron's army or the rune menu is a pile of sticks with his head on it he will be permanently dead.

    • There was one incident where I was killed by an uruk defender, so he leveled up and became a captain (I forgot his name, let's just call him Bob). I got revenge on Bob right away in the Northeast corner of the second map. After killing him, a bunch of uruks came running after me so I just stayed in that area and continued fighting hoping that I wil be killed by a cool uruk. Several minutes later, Bob shows up with a head wrap. I was shocked, but he was easy to defeat so I killed him again. Basically, I stayed in one area and was able to kill Bob four times until he stopped respawning.

    • What happens if no one EVER kills you (I got SUPER close but had an alarm pulled we I ran out of elf shot and got stabbed in the face) I have gotten really good and am going for a no death game but just in case does anyone knownow what would happen if you pulled that off? It's just a thought!

    • Ok, so my nemesis came about when I was just playing around while drunk. It was the early stages of the game, and for fun I decided to do nothing but flips over a bunch of uruk heads to see how long it would take to die. Twenty minutes of humiliation later, one brave uruk finally killed the nimble flipster. His name was Mormog the Gentle, and as soon as I heard his name, I knew we would be soulmates. The next time I encountered Mormog, he had undergone considerable buffs. He poisoned his weapon, making him highly deadly. As fate would have it, Sauron's gentle orc had a one hit kill move, making him the deadliest uruk in all of Mordor. Of course, he didn't deal enough damage until he became a war chief. There was no finer enemy to fight at the fishing boat, as he proceeded to trounce me another 5 times. Mormog the Gentle is an inspiration to all Uruks.
