|Appearances||Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor|
Narchost is a location in Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, and one of the two Towers of the Teeth built by Gondor to prevent anything from leaving Mordor. It overlooks the Black Gate together with Carchost.
- The name Narchost means "fire tower" in the language of the Sindar.
- It is situated on one side, some say the west (or south), of Cirith Gorgor, the Haunted Pass, on a hill that is at the extreme northern end of the Ephel Dúath (Mountains of Shadow).
- The tower is eventually abandoned when the power of Gondor begins to wane, and then occupied by its enemies.
- It was first referenced by name in J.R.R. Tolkien's Return of the King.
