Bilbo Baggins is mentioned in Shadow of Mordor, perhaps indirectly. But that's enough reason that a article about Bilbo Baggins has the right to be here, at soon when there is useful information about him for in this wiki.
But Bilbo Baggins has no article on this wikia, we shouldn't link to empty pages. I have no issue with the reference itself being on the page but why link to a page that doesn't exist? it makes it look unprofessional and untidy. We can't make a page for a character that's vaguely mentioned in one line spoken by Gollum.
When SoM 2 comes out or is announced and Bilbo has some relevance, that's when we start linking his page all over the wiki. As it stands now its a pointless link without purpose.
I don't think so. Links, from articles which not are created on this wiki yet, on articles these are created here... My point is, that will encourage users here more to created such new articles. That will bring sometimes pleasant surprises, if you understand what I mean.
You're right that a Bilbo Baggins article is not very needed here, Joker. But it's not excluded that someone will create a Bilbo Baggins article on this wiki someday. He is at least mentioned in the game. That's reason enough that a Bilbo Baggins is allowed to be here.
By the way, Bilbo's name is for a long time in the template Navbox characters, even at the time that Mark came very often on this wiki. There is even a Shelob article here.
But shouldn't we just wait for that day to come and then start linking articles? for example you don't see the Assassin's Creed wikia creating a page for an assassin named Peter because maybe one day Ubisoft will name an assassin that.
Bilbo isn't even mentioned directly, Gollum says filthy Bagginses once and that's it. Its not substantial enough for a link.
Yeah I saw that, also alot of articles need to be either merged or deleted because we didn't know what would be relevant to the game's story line pre-release. But Shelob is a bit different because she is actually mentioned extensively in a few artifacts through out the game.
Is there some rule I am unaware of that says the apostrophes and the 's' are not supposed to be included in the link for the words?
I notice you have changed several of my edits regarding this, the latest being the Sauron's one from the War of the Ring page which I did just yesterday. I was never told otherwise, and don't want to come across as beginning an 'edit war' where we go back and forth on this.
If you could perhaps show me the rule in a Manual of Style or some other evidence that we aren't supposed to be doing this, then I will desist.
Heya Tim, How have you been? it seems like ages since we spoke. Not long now till the release, just over a month i think. I have been thinkinhg of topics that perhaps when we both have time we could discuss. These are the following...
- The new Celebrimbor story missions and will they be replayable or will they be a one time play?
- The main approach to Shadow of Mordor in terms of Stealth, Hardcore or Tactical way to go around the game.
- In the Sauron's Servants trailer, Mount Doom erupts after Sauron supposedly smashes into the ground. Could this mean that at some point we could see Mount Doom turn Mordor into the desolate wasteland we know from The Lord of the Rings?
Obvisouly i would work entirely around your plans if you would like to take these idea's and some of your own. You always have a good idea :) Just let me know when your free.
PS: Oh yeah i forgot to mention the name change, i felt Agandaur worked better and especially along with my avatar.
Oh yes? Then advance, happy birthday, Agandaûr. I understand your situation, then we do it another time. I don't know which other day yet. I am confident that one of us (you and me) will came with an new suggestion when we can chat together. Have a nice birthday, Agandaûr.
Hello Sjoerddz. Sorry, but I don't have position to know the answer of question. Perhaps, that system is still in the game, but improved on some way, but I am not sure. MarkvA (Mark) is more informed about the system of the game than I am. Maybe, he can help you, but I can't guarantee it for sure. He has sometimes contact with the developers, but I am not sure they have give him the information that you looking for. I'm sorry, but I don't know the answer of question, Sjoerddz.
Heya Tim, it has been a little while since we last spoke, how are you doing? I'm now getting very excited about seeing Minas Morgul in the game! i presume that we will beens it in the new poll! but i am thrilled by that news! i have even done a theory on it :) of course i have, my motto is new news new theory :) just i have the problem of not got many people viewing it. i'm thinking of whether to move it to another blog website or just do the odd blog post on the wikia like i sorta did before hand....Hope to hear from you soon! - Agunduir
Hello Agunduir, on this moment, I'm doing well. Sorry that I did let you wait for so long, I didn't know anymore how I had to approach you.
Yes, even the fact that Minas Morgul is outside the boundary of Mordor, it's a good thing if that location is in de game indeed. Perhaps as a bonus location, and that you can fight and even can kill the Nine Nazgûl there, and that you can take the Rings of Power from every Nazgûl that you killed, with Khamûl as the second last Nazgûl who you can meet there, and the Witch-king of Angmar as the last one. And after killing all the Nine Nazgûl, it will be possible to free the fortress from the curse, and then the fortress is Minas Ithil again. What do you think Agunduir?
freeing the fortress from the curse sounds like a good idea! kill them first free the place later :) I JUST HAD A AWESOME IDEA! turn Possibilities for Results into a youtube channel! Not talking but slides! could become quite popular!
I am glad that you say that, and I have think about what is need to unlock Minas Morgul and some more details. Perhaps, I tell you that here on Saturday. Is that alright?
About your idea by changing your website, Shadow of Mordor: Possibilities for Results, it's not an bad idea. After all, images do telling more then words. You can even do it in combination of videos and words, just the thing that is most fine for you. I hope that whatever you choose to change Shadow of Mordor: Possibilities for Results, that it will help you to make it popular. Good luck with that, Agunduir.
I still know your Prolgoue theory, Agunduir, I am convinced that indeed most of the details of your theory can come in the game. When Jorge come with the news that we can contact the developers, it can are one theories that you share with them. Perhaps that theory will give them inspiration.
I did mean the Saturday or the Sunday of this week. I know it's Liberation Day today. But I didn't expect that you I would misunderstand me because this bank holiday, sorry for that. You can peaceful think about Saturday or Sunday in this week, if it convenient for you of course.
Hello Agunduir, I think that I know now when I can. But I am not sure whether the days will are fine for you. The week that start tomorrow, I can only in the evening of Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. The rest of that week I and my parents are full with appointments.
I'm sorry for that, Agunduir, but it has already been decided by my parents. Otherwise, we have to waiting for week after that week. I can't settle it better by now. I hope that it's alright, I am curious for your ideas for Mount Doom, Barad-dur and Minas Morgul.
I have the evening of that Monday a lesson for playing piano, I was forgot that for a little time. So, that evening can are hard for planning.
I fully understand that you have other things that have been planned before i mentioned it which is fine. Perhaps maybe we could try Tuesday or Wednesday evening but if not then save it for the following week after that.
I have think about it. Maybe it's the best idea if we wait until somewhere in the next week, then we are more sure that choose a moment where we both peaceful can start with your topic, and we have more time for preparing. Are you agree, Agunduir?
Hello Agunduir, I have time in the evening of this Saturday. I can't this Sunday, because I go with my parents to a family reunion that day. Can you this Saturday too? If you can't that day, then maybe we can take the evening of this Friday, as an alternative for this week. You can decide it, this Friday or this Saturday.
Hello Agunduir, did you choose Friday? And if you did, shall we start on then on the standard time, 7:00 p.m. (19:00 in my country), or another time? Sorry if I am came late with this. Anyway, I will do my best to are on the Live! Chat when the time has come for your topic.
You didn't come today. When you are back here, I hope that you have a good reason that you didn't come. Anyway, you are so late now, I think that we can't start further with your topic today anymore. I hope there will be a new chance this Monday. When you are back here, please tell me why you didn't come to the Live! Chat.
I'm Jorge from Wikia's Community Development team. Thanks to our partnership with Monolith, we've got an upcoming opportunity with Shadow of Mordor I thought you might be interested. Some time in mid-may, we'll be doing a virtual event with some Monolith folks and we would love to invite you to participate.
It should only take a couple of hours over a few days and we can work with your schedule. During the event, you'll be able to check out some behind-the-scenes content related to Shadow of Mordor, and we'd love to have some experts attend the event. If this sounds like something you're interested in, let me know via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) and I'll add you to our list and get in touch with more information as soon as it's available!
All the best,
